In 2007, Papa's lost one of its
valued employees to Leukemia. Georgia Harris was an employee for 20 years
at Papa's, she was not only a co-worker, but a great friend as well. In her honor,
we have created the Georgia Harris Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship
is to help one of our employees with college expenses. Each year employees
are able to apply for the scholarship through the Oregon Student Assistance Commission
(OSAC). The selection board at OSAC chooses the recipient of the fund.
Georgia was the office manager, so Papa's has decided to have
a fundraiser every year on Administrative Professionals Day to raise money for the
scholarship. 50% of the in-house sales will be donated to the fund, in hopes
that the fund will grow and help more employees in the future. |
